Blended Learning


What is Blended Learning? for the first time, I also confuse. I thought blended learning is we learn also blend with other people but it's wrong. Blended learning combines multiple delivery media
that are designed to complement each other and promote
learning and application-learned behavior. So 1 material has a lot of sources.
I made blended learning about Mozart's biography. Why I made about this topic? I'm a music teacher, I have desire to make my students know deeper about musicians, at least make an interesting comprehension for them.
I made this to help y students practice reading, and also have more knowledge about musicians, this is one of the music aspects. Music has a lot of aspects; practice, theory, experiences, biographies, and many more. So besides my students learn practical and theories, they also have to learn the others. This kind of learning also make them learning English. The link that I put in blendspace is in English, the questions also in English. Most of my students are brilliant in English (hehe).
Who can do my Blendspace? To be honest, it supposed to be children in 6th grade until adults. Why? because the language, I can say, is difficult. I don't have to make approximate proficiency level because not all children want to do that. This activity just for have fun besides learning in formal. why are they taking this class? because they want to have knowledge, especially in music knowledge.

What did I do with my blendspace? I did ImageBank. There are a lot of images. If you open it, there is a question which related with the picture.So what you have to do is you read the question and then answer it. Buuutttt, before you answer the questions, you have to read the article which I put there. there are 2 links that you have to read unless you cannot answer the questions. how long should they do it? At least 30 minutes for each day. I will give them 6 days for homework. If they have finished it, they have to memorize the story. When we meet again, I will check the home work and I will hear their story telling. It's fun, isn't it?

What the difficulties? I don't face any of difficulties from this far.

Blendspace is very effective to make students learn. they don't have to search another sources. We provide the link and what the students have to do is learning from the link and answer the quiz or the questions.
I think many students will pro and contrast. Why? because not all students like this way of learning. Some students like to learn in offline way, some students like to learn in online way. So it depends on the students. But personally it is a new way of learning and it is cool. In my perspective, many students will like it.
this app will help a lot of teachers in the world because they only have to put the link (may a link that rare to find) and make questions in same page. It's quite easy for me.

Mobile Learning. One thing that popped into our minds; learn thing using a mobile phone, may be education game in a smartphone, or watching education video in a smart phone, or whatever it is, it using a mobile phone. What I think is basically true.
