ELT Blog is Very Useful


Why ELT is useful for English learners and teacher?
Sometime, we don’t know all thing, and internet always give us a new thing and a new idea about anything. It is very useful because we can learn from the native speakers directly from their blogs. In different era, it has also a lot of changes that maybe we don’t know about it, especially in language. It makes us smarter and more deeply understand about that. If at the first time we have many mistakes, after we read or learn from that blogs, we can improve to be better than before.
For me, ELT blogs is very useful because it improves my knowledge . I also open some kind like this, but on YouTube (video blog). I find lots of things that I didn't get in campus. It gives me a lot of informations and I really like it. Not all people can go to a formal school to learn English because somehow it is very expensive. So to people who like online media will like this kind of blogs. But not all blogs is true. We must find a blogger who is native speaker because it can be more accurate than non native speaker.

    Hi Pricil! I agree that the internet always give us something new and useful like the ELT blogs. However, how do you know if the author from the blog is a native speaker? They didn't even talk. I always have a hard time to differentiate a person whether he/she is a native speaker or not only from their writing.

    Hi Pricil,

    Yes, Milly is right, some of the best ELT bloggers do not speak English as their first language. Compared to native speakers, these experts might have an advantage because they experience first-hand the struggles of acquiring a language.

    Which of the ELT blogs I suggested is your favourite? It would be nice to know which one you think is most useful. You might want to read Anggie, Jeffrey and Lidya's blog for examples.

Blended Learning

What is Blended Learning? for the first time, I also confuse. I thought blended learning is we learn also blend with other people but it's wrong. Blended learning combines multiple delivery media that are designed to complement each other and promote learning and application-learned behavior. So 1 material has a lot of sources. I made blended learning about Mozart's biography. Why I made about this topic? I'm a music teacher, I have desire to make my students know deeper about musicians, at least make an interesting comprehension for them. Collaborative Essay

At the the first time hearing these words, 1 thing that just popped in my mind; collaboration. Will I do an eassy with collaboration, I mean with many people? the answer is yes. I did the essay with many people. We use Google docs as the media. I have done it before in other class (writing class). also I have already know this apps since I was in in Senior High School (around 4 years ago). Who told me about that?
